I was walking up a country track this morning with Hattie, infront of me was an old Land Rover and a young Border Collie off lead. The man got out and took a puppy Border Collie out placed a rough old long piece of rope round his neck got back in the car and started driving yelling at the puppy to "heel". I yelled at him "do you think that was an appropriate way to treat a very young puppy" I got no reply and off he drove. There was a neighbour jogging up behind me and she was speechless at his behaviour. People still manage to stop me in my tracks with the way they treat animals What on earth makes him think this is a good way to treat such a young puppy. I just wanted to grab the poor puppy and run as fast as I could xxx
Phone the RSPCA - though they are pretty useless, but it may make the chap think twice before he does it again. How very upsetting for you to have to witness this.
He did that right in front of you? People do things they think others will not like and they hide what they are doing. To do something like that in plain view of others is very scary for more than just the puppy.
