Puppy poos on car rides

Hello all, I'm new to the group. Our puppy is 12 weeks old and I have tried everything to stop him pooing in the car. Any advice please. I really don't want to medicate if I don't have to. Thank you

 

I think it’s probably anxiety.

Tatze did this so I made the journeys very short - two minutes, to start with and built up from there adding just a minute at a time.

 

I did try this but may have tried to fast with him and done it to quick. Thank you

Is your pup's digestion normally ok? It sounds like either he has a general problem with an upset tummy, or the car makes him nervous, or he has somehow got it into his head that the car is the right place to poop!

 

I had the same problem with Red at that age. I did the same as @Boogie and it worked.

 

I think it's a nervous thing as he is nervous of everything. Hopefully once he knows the car is a good place he will be alright. Thank you guys
