Just a thought, do you have a snuffle mat? They are great for a combination of mental stimulation and keeping themselves occupied. Plus easy to grab a handle of kibble, shake it out and plop on the floor :)

We're there fireworks by you at all last night? Harley (4 years old) was really restless and barking constantly and being OTT.
    Hopefully today will be better

Think Labs must have a taste for skirting boards - we have just taken the decsiin that after the puppy stage we’ll need to redecorate - Nibbler has kind of stopped this since we allowed him on a sofa of his own and he just slobs there all day - have two kids at college who are about all week too. I make a point of taking Nibbler out for half an hour after I come 8n if I can then he gets shut behind gate in kitchen to calm down for half an hour - then he will usually settle on the sofe. If not straight back to kitchen ( he has a bed in there too) - he is seven months and has been getting better the last few weeks - much less bitey.

I feel i am always on here only when things get tough. So i will end this night on a positive note. I took her a walk on her lead and harness (bought new ones that are much better) and had a pocket of treats and all the hard work is beginning to pay off. I took her a different route and she hardly left my side until she got to familiar territory and pulled a bit trying to sniff out everything in her path..i also found she pulled a bit at the place where i let her off lead. Anyway i am just buzzing that we are back on track. I also took the time to get back to getting her to lie down on a one word command (plenty of treats and praise). She is lying sleeping with her head on my lap after her walk and its so nice :):celebrate::star:

I was like this for several months . I started to say to my puppy when she went to bed ‘tomorrow’s another day’ - made me much more positive.

Pleased you have a good walk :).

Ahh! Lovely walk and a perfect evening with pup snoozing head in lap. I am in the same position, Benson is currently snoring lying across my legs :)

HI, my Two Socks is now 6 months old. I know just where you are. I did all the wrong things. you see I didn't know anything about a lab. I still am learning. Do you have a crate? I would not leave her out in the house for any reason. when she was new, I got a kong and put peanut butter, and small treats in it. then froze it. this helps with the biting and destroying things. I bought a metal crate not these soft side ones. she will chew right through them. I also have her in the crate to sleep and not in your room. you need to rest !! when I did this she started to settled down. put the crate when you have tile, you need to be able to clean up messes easily , When you give her a treat, get her to look at you, say Penny look at me, when she does you then tell her gentle, put you treat to the side of her mouth, this helps her to take the treat gently. I didn't know these things until I started at a obedience class. and I am still learning. you will be able to do this. you have come to the right place for help. this site is the best. Take time for your self you deserve it. remember to watch your hands when giving her the treats, my hands looked so bad, the instructor told me to start doing this and they finally healed . Good Luck,
