Cassie is just about four weeks post season now, so I'm watching closely for signs of pp as this is about when the last one started. I'm still giving her the Evening Primrose. I think I maybe obsessing about the size of her boobs. Pre season her nipples were virtually invisible, but haven't yet gone back to that. In fact I think her mammary tissue may be becoming enlarged But I haven't noticed any behavioural change and she is her usual happy self, quite settled as long as she gets her walk and training games.
Let's hope you've managed to avert another phantom. Molly's big boobs took almost 3 months to subside and her breeder told me later that all the females of the litter were the same. Fingers crossed for Cassie.
Hopefully Cassie will be OK this time round. Sure those nibbles will subside slowly over the next few weeks. Before you know it she will be at the vet for her spay.
@selina27 and @Beanwood OK so my spell checker just does not work especially first thing in the morning. But in my defence the word I had started to writte (bo...), I realised was wrong so there . Well that is my defence (And now I really dislike not neing able to go back to correct a spelling mistake)
I know that feeling No offence meant, we are all vulnerable to the old spell checker! Just a bit of a giggle, that's all. Make no mistake, I value your support on here.
Yes she's ok, but I have noticed one thing, there seems to be an upsurge in interest in poo eating, she's normally very selective over this ( ), but the last day or two not so . I seem to remember this happening last time before I realised what was going on.
So far so good, Cassie is now 5 weeks post season and all seems ok, no further enlargement of her mammary tissue or no sign of nesting, she seems very happy and calm. Last weekend she seemed preoccupied and a bit cranky and I thought oh no!! But at two o'clock last Sunday afternoon she climbed onto my lap and then pointedly walked in the direction of her food tub. She's very thin at present so I gave her a meal then and one later at the usual time, and she's been right as rain since. She must just have been ravenous. I don't think I'm out of the woods yet, and will continue with the Evening Primrose for another 4 weeks.
I may well have posted too soon yesterday ! Just after I did that she began to rearrange her blanket in a manner reminiscent of the ph p earlier this year, but not for long. This morning she is very quiet, and is curled up with Zebby her Zebra Kong toy, unusual for her So it looks as if there is something going on, the physical signs are nothing compared to what happened before, so hopefully it won't be so intense.
Oh no, I hope this is just a quiet mood and not the 1st signs. You've tried everything possible to ward this off, would be an awful shame. Fingers still crossed here x
Was just catching up and reading your post from Saturday (i think) and think cool lookiing good. The read you latest post and looks like a minor step back. Hopefully it has settled and just a minor plip. Vanilla is always rearranging our bed (especially after it is made) then gets her sleepy pup and curls up for a sleep. Hopefully it is just that rather than anything more.
