Does anyone have recommendations for a bed for chewers? My 7 month old girl has chewed two beds. We tried rugs and towels to help us get through the chewing phase, but she ends up chewing on those, too. We only have wood floors so I feel bad leaving her on the "naked" floor, but for the last few days that is what we have done.
We have all been there, Charlie chewed his bodyweight in beds I bought plastic oval beds with thick fleece liners, Charlie has never chewed this bed which he has had for about 4 years now. Hattie never chewed a bed! You might also consider a raised dog bed with a piece of vetbed or just vetbed on the floor is fine, nice and warm x
Mine chewed anything soft that she could get in her mouth, including any towels or blankets and also a very expensive Orvis ‘guaranteed unchewable’ bed! The only thing that saved us was this https://kuranda.com/ Now she is a grown-up she sleeps on the nice squishy topper that you can buy with it, but when she was chewing she just slept on it without. It was a life-saver! Chew proof and dig-proof and completely washable.
I bought this one, a piece of vet bed on top, really excellent and a good price too x https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Bunty-El...var=610619501945&_trksid=p2055119.m1438.l2649
Inky ate vet bed very enthusiastically so I changed to a piece of carpet in his crate which was fine for about a month then that started to be chewed so I took it away. Now he had a front door mat which had a rubber bit around the edge, not a bristle mat. It came from Homebase. I thought he'd chew it but only nibbled a couple of times. It lies very flat in the crate, think that helps.
