Really hope he's doing much better quickly - that is very scary for his humans and for you (and for Basil of course).
How very worrying. I wonder if he has swallowed something which doesn't show up on the X-ray, or could it be an intussception, when the bowel swallows itself?
I've read that some things are hard to detect on the first blood test. Giardia is one and people I've known with giardia had a very upset stomach that made them find it hard to eat. Suggest Basil go for the same tests again? Mybe it's a poop test for giardia but whatever, a second run at all the tests? What are his poops like?
Hope Basil is feeling better and had a good night. Hopefully he has had something to eat, even if it just a piece of cheese
Thanks everyone He's still at the vets. They're running more tests on him. Waiting for an update from his owner. When he's better Stanley is going to buy his best pal a rope and they're going to play tuggy to their hearts content!
They've kept him in and he's stable. Still hasn't eaten but they've ran more tests and are just waiting for the result. If he still hasn't eaten by tomorrow they're going to operate to give him a feeding tube. Poor Baz. It just seems so so strange because everything is coming back fine. But it's definitely something because his pops are runny and he's been sick a few times. Really hope they figure it out soon
