That's an excellent story! (And I was late going out this morning because I was so absorbed in catching up with the last couple of days!)
You left Lancashire and Yorkshire just in time! https://www.theguardian.com/uk-news...ed-from-floods-as-severe-uk-weather-continues
Just been catching up on your Labratour @Emily_BabbelHund. You have extraordinarily busy - visiting breeders and forum dogs. Well done .
oh heck, how awful - though I'm so sorry the Diveworld van made me smile. We had flooding yesterday, but nothing like that. It's absolutely rotten.
Oh my goodness! Have just seen on the news about a place in north Wales and one man who had lived there for 72 years said he had never seen any like it before. Is this due to global warming and a change in the weather patterns? Hope you are alright @Boogie?
Yes, thank you. No floods here, we live on top of a hill The photo is just a few minutes down the road from where @Emily_BabbelHund and I stayed for the weekend. .
How awful... Climate change is probably a factor (higher rainfall) but it’d be compounded by having cut down too many trees and cleared too much land (so water just runs over it fast instead of going slowly and soaking in), paved over too many surfaces (with roads, roofs, etc etc), drained too many wetlands... There is nowhere else for the water to go.
This is Harley Christmas shopping. This is Harley being charming. This isn't Harley. Nope, not Harley. Neither @Naya nor I have ever seen THIS dog, and we'll swear to that in a court of law. Thanks to @Naya and Harley for a lovely visit this evening! Bonus photos - let's play "guess which Forum dog these dogs are ALL related to".
