Haha I think if she hadn’t been still attached to my leg she would have snaffled the treats then run for the hills

For some reason Holly was in a muddy mood today. She zoomied through muddy puddles, stood in them, drank them, lay down in them, skidded in them, sniffed them and pounced on them. She was spattered in mud from ears to paws.

The things some dogs will do to get a game of swimmy fetch!

Aww..we missed training on Tuesday so went tonight instead - glad we did - there was a new dog there. A very timid Podenco cross called Peaches - a rescue from Spain. She was very like "our" lovely Conchita, similar coloring in the face, and those ears! She'd started to come out of her shell a little by the end and she did ever so well for her first time.

Pongo is expert at eating off forks. He doesn't touch the metal at all. I have no shame and I don't care.

I've got to go into hospital tomorrow for some stuff but before I go I'm going to take Rory for a walk. We're going over the fields that should set me up. I love walking with my brown dog

No fork for us just spoon. She will sit and spoon gets cleaned in one single swoosh but no touching of the metal

Ooh I have never seen a podenco in real life before, I would love to behold one in their full house-elf glory :)

We're having a massive storm with thunder that shakes the house. I wanted to make sure Ella was ok so grabbed some cheese to feed her during the cracks of thunder. She looked genuinely pissed off that I woke her up!! Honestly!

Ripple has been quite badly behaved since he came back from kennels, I've had a week of pulling on the lead, really obsessive poo searching out and eating, not coming back when called and generally hard work.
I thought he would have been back to normal by now :( (well normal for Ripple). I've been working hard on all these behaviours again at home and going back to basics but he was awful on his walk again today. The fact that it had snowed didn't help as that always sends him silly, and I found it hard not to get cross when he wouldn't come back but kept zipping past me just far enough away to avoid being caught.

Luckily we met someone with an equally mad labradoodle and they had 10 minutes of ball chasing and crazy play so Ripple is now tired out, but I'm dreading agility tomorrow. I wasn't going to go back as he was so awful to start with but by the end of the course he'd started to settle down and concentrate, so I decided to book in again. Oh well, kill or cure I guess .

We've got Judge the Great Dane staying with us for the weekend.

He's 16 weeks and bigger than Stanley. His paw covers my whole hand.

I'm looking forward to having him - Stanleys usually the bigger dog so it will be interesting to see what it's like having 2.

Apparently he's like a superstar when you walk him and you get constantly stopped by people wanting to meet him :D

My lot always turn into monsters when the snow comes. It sends them loopy until they get used to it. It's just (yet) another thing to proof against, nothing to worry about :)
