We have a microwave but it’s on top of our fridge which is a bit high and I’d like to get rid of it. All we use it for is thawing out Obi’s breakfast (if we forget to take it out of the freezer in advance) and making pappadums. In other news I’ve just sat myself outside with my iPad, a glass of rosé and some goats cheese canapés and now it’s goshdarned starting to rain
I used to have one but I only ever used it for warming plates. When we redesigned our kitchen, I looked at one to match the oven but it was over £800. No way was I going to pay that for a plate warmer! I don’t have a toaster, either Umbrella? This thread really is going all over the place, isn’t it?
I have an umberella but I never use it I have a micro wave and I don't use that either and my toaster is kept in the cupboard and I don't use that either. Mmmm
I don't have a microwave, when my son was 16 months old he put 2 teaspoons in the one we had, closed the door and pressed start ..... and pop went the microwave . We were skint at the time, so we managed with out, and I'm still doing so! I do have an umbrella but I've no idea where it is, no dishwasher though
I have an umbrella but no idea where it is as I never use it, I don't have a toaster but I do have a dishwasher and I'd hate to be without that. (Starting to forget what this thread was actually about now ).
I don't know what to say. I was thinking that @SteffiS was a little crazy but now I'm thinking that you're all nuts! Except for @JenBainbridge of course You don't have a bathroom so this doesn't exactly surprise me What does everyone do to reheat leftovers?? The 'sensor reheat' function on my microwave is used all the time!
Haha, I meant even in our "finished" other home. OK, it's not completely finished. No heating. In a ski resort Never marry a builder if you want anything done on your own property.
OK, it's not true we have no heating, just that J hasn't installed our proper heating system yet (radiator skirting boards). We have electric UFH in the kitchen and bathroom and an oil-filled electric radiator in the living room. J installed great thermal and acoustic insulation on all the walls and ceilings so it doesn't take much to get it roasty toasty. We like a cool bedroom (which is handy, because there's still a small hole that goes through the wall to outside) but we bought an electric blanket last year which is the absolute nuts. I am officially an old lady
I LOVE my electric blanket. It's my favourite thing ever. OH will never let us have it on our bed. Sometimes I actually consider divorcing him over it
My mam got me it when I was away at university because my flat was cold. Then I had it at home. Since I've moved in with OH it's been in the cupboard
