Roads are fine up north. Took me 2 hours to get to work but that's because of people driving at 2mph rather than there actually being anything wrong with the roads
OK, so that means I would have company, as I certainly don't know how to drive in snow either. Thanks!
Mags, you are surrounded by whacky people, including the men in your life who think a normal bike ride is from Manchester to Heidelberg. So if I think the UK is on the way to Spain, I fit right in!
The Tardis (aka my Honda Jazz) got a full clean outside and in and an appointment next week for a tune up, oil change, brake check and a brand new set of tires. And I've got a hotel reservation for Calais on 7 January. Not quite sure what this means, but it could be Labratour Part III: Labs in Snow.
Snow......what snow??? We had a sprinkling on our garden for all of 6-7 hours! It rarely ever snows in this area, so good for another trip to Bristol
No, but any chance of the pack meeting up with Emily is greeted with rapturous tail wagging! Now I will be shot for posting this!!!
Thank goodness I was so lady-like with my legs. But in my defence, it was hard to think of anything with Benson's tongue in my ear and Bramble's in my mouth. And yes, I'd jump at the chance to do it again.
Sorry to dash hopes, but honestly, no puppy collection on the horizon, including a Beanwood puppy. Though wouldn't a Bramble puppy be gorgeous? I have no plan at all for the moment other than, "Hey, I have a whole month off work and no lodging planned in January, why not pop over to the UK on my way down to Spain?" My buddy in Ireland has also pointed out that I'm overdue for a visit, so I may even get to Cork if I can get over my ferry-phobia. So no agenda other than hopefully see friends old and new and make the most of my surprise down time from work. Though I'm still calling it "Labratour Part III" as I suspect there may be lots of Labradors involved...and plenty of touring!
Labratour Part III kicks off tomorrow with the drive from Regensburg to Calais. Today I'm still in crazy packing mode, so looking forward to quiet kilometres in the car with lots and lots of podcasts and caffeine to keep me awake. This is going to be "Labratour Light" as so far no breeder visits planned (though there is a glimmer of hope). Mainly I just needed my ears cleaned (Benson), a top up on my fur collection (Pongo) and another possible doggie shoplifting adventure (Harley) plus hope for some cuddles/walks with a few other lovely pups and general touristy adventures in the tiny Tardis (aka my trusty Honda Jazz). Besides, as everyone knows, the UK and Ireland are on the way to Spain, so why not stop in?
