How do I keep my lab from shedding so bad? I am constantly vacuuming everything. Floors, carpet, furniture. It sticks to our clothes and hair is left in the washer and dryer and it still doesn't come all the way off. PLEASE HELP!

I`m afraid that Labradors do shed , and often very heavily too . I bought a furminator for my late Sam , its a special type of comb that helps to strip out dead hair , it can help a lot so it might well be worth investigating ? I also used to wash the dog bedding regularly by putting it into an old duvet cover in the washing machine , to stop the hairs from sticking to the rubber seal and the drum .

I vacuum twice a day as habit, and groom the dogs every day - no problem :)

I do that but the hairs are still a problem - yellow more than black - I have sticky mitts out permanently now and in the car. I have a lint roller in the kitchen. My grandchildren stayed at the weekend and my grandson is brilliant with Red. Needless to say all his clothes were matted with yellow hair. I had to dehair everything to the best of my ability as I didn’t want my daughter faced with the task:rolleyes:. I take one of the granddaughter’s to school frequently and the last thing I do before we leave the car is get the hair off her uniform .

I haven't had any issues! She's a puppy, though. Does this get harder as she gets older?

For sure. Puppies hardly shed. You'll have the first blowing of the coat at some point and then....well, good luck :D

I give mine Lintbell's Yumega and he hardly sheds at all. He is black though and I don't think that black notices as much as yellow fur. I think brushing every day would help, not that I remember to do that!

Maddux is a yellow lab and our breeder told us that the yellows shed worse than the chocolate and black. The wood floors and tile are not a problem. It's the area rugs and the clothes. I vacuum twice a day, but it seems impossible to get all the hair off our clothes and in the rugs. It sticks to them and won't turn loose. Where do you get the sticky mitts?

    Lakeland.

Yes same here - we have a carpeted sitting room and I am forever vacuuming it. The rest of downstairs is tiled and wooden/laminate flooring so as you say, not a problem. All our clothes have hair on them .

I bought a Dyson stick vacuum which is fantastic but I’ll probably wear it out quickly as it’s used so much .

I reckon you just notice the yellow fur more. My black Labrador shed just as much as my yellow one. But it blended into my clothing better.
