Aspen will groan and moan almost like he is frustrated when it is his quiet time in the evenings and he is playing with his toys. We tell him to lay down and give him squeaky toys to play with. He will play with them and will groan and it sounds funny but I don't know if he is stressed out or what. He has this squeaky long-type toy and will lay on his back, hold up the toy with his front paws, and chew on the toy like a baby holding it's own bottle. And while he does this...he will groan or growl! It's so odd. He's so vocal and I don't know if something is bothering him.

Axel has been like this since we brought him home at 8 weeks, and he will be two in a couple of weeks. We always know what Axel is thinking

When we have company over they do comment on how vocal he is lol :D

I’ve never thought anything more of it other than he’s vocal and full of expression.

Shadow makes whale noises when he's playing bitey-face with Luna. It's just what he does :)

Obi moans and groans with his toys too. He’s a very vocal dog in general, with a wide repertoire. Some dogs are just like that :)

Tansy has got some very expressive groans in her repertoire, and she whines, but I've never heard her growl

Oban sounds JUST like a baby bear when we play wrestle. I take it he is having fun but he'd like to win once in a while. :)

Two of my dogs make a cacophony of sound when they are playing. I'm surprised the police don't turn up sometimes.

Bailey frequently sings the songs of his peoples - groans moans and growls - always while playing and his tail going nineteen to the dozen! He just has a lot to tell me:D

Yes occasionally Pearl will make noises with toys that sounds like she's frustrated! Crazy kids :)

She's just been spayed but overall doing well in that.

Over several weeks she's become more rough as in jumping up and biting etc... Which she hasn't really done much of to me.. We have good days and bad days. Just when things are good, something new pops up. But she's pretty good really...

How is Aspen doing? Does he still bite at times like Pearl?

@Me and my dog Yes, Aspen is still a biter an a jumper...but he has also been growing so much. He will kennel when told to, and he likes snuggling and sleeping so much more now. He is still super energetic but of course he is, he's a puppy! Glad to hear Pearl is doing well after being spayed. We are still unsure if we are going to neuter Aspen or not. We are in obedience classes right now and Aspen seems to really enjoy them.
