    @jenebeka
    Just to say how sorry for you going through this so close to Christmas, it must be awful for you. I saw your update on the other thread, I hope the kidney issue isn't permanent.
    Have some fun where you can and enjoy hugs and kisses with Bella. X

    I know it's hard. The worst hardly ever happens, and yet we spend so much time visualising it...we all do it! Maybe, when you have those thoughts, remind yourself that you caught it early, the vet is not really worried, the kidney thing is probably absolutely nothing (ie. dehydration). Re-read those stories people have posted of their dogs having one small mast cell lump and then nothing for the rest of their lives. Most likely, Bella will be exactly the same.

    I’m glad the operation has gone well. As you say, the elevated kidney levels could be dehydration, so try not to worry too much. Could Bella wear a t-shirt to protect her stitches. I think you can buy special dog ones.

    Try to enjoy Christmas now that the first hurdle is over. I’m sure your children will keep you busy!

    I’m glad she’s safely through surgery. I didn’t put a collar on Molly as I was with her all the time and she didn’t pay much attention to her stitches so was easily distracted when she did.
    I hope you can relax a bit now.

    Bella is very clingy with me tonight. I am loving the closeness with her but it is breaking my heart.
