or when you buy some new ones they go straight for them and get them out of the bag....

could be worse they could swallow them, twice even...Vanilla loves the taste of socks, not so much the trip to the vet after though

Harley constantly pinches my socks. She never chews them, just runs away from me or lies down and sucks them!!

Luna has an old pair of hockey socks of mine (don't ask why I had hockey socks - I haven't played since I was 16!) rolled into a dummy shape. It's one of her favourite toys :)

Ella's the same. Any lost socks are usually found, unharmed, in her crate.

Rory loves them and will open the locked washing machine door to sort through the waiting wash til he finds a really stinky one. He takes them off to his mat to subdue them.

Same, River loves nothing more than a good sock, and a tea towel... Just to parade around the house mind you, no chewing so far.

They SMELL :) Of us and everyone our dogs love!
I've just been round the house and collected up clean socks that Cassie has spread about after a rummage through the just out of the dryer basket. She's another one who doesn't chew or eat them , just carries them around :)

Our boy must be strange. I don't remember him ever once showing any interest in socks.

With us its slippers. No slipper is safe when Holly is around. She'll dive in and run off with them, holding them hostage until the appropriate ransom is payed.

I think I made a mistake with my last post. Should have kept my keyboard shut.

I bought a new rag mat yesterday, and ten minutes ago I found Nelson there, happily chewing away, pulling those tasty strips of rag out of their weaves. :(

That is the first time he has chewed something other than his toys.

Socks and slippers in this house too - and Florence is not adverse to having a sneaky chew of either!

Lmao! Reading these posts and seeing the pictures literally makes me laugh like a crazy person, I thought I just had a naughty dog but apparently thievery runs strong in this breed lol. Teller is a shameless thief: socks, shoes, gloves, tissues, napkins, paper towels, bits of TP, legos, anything that will fit in his mouth... cat toys are one of his favorites! One time at the vet he casually nicked one of the cat toys from behind the desk while I was checking out and nearly walked out with it. Talk about embarrassing!
