Thanks for all the kind words - and I'm really glad you liked Toby/Alf's thread. I will also be seeing Tiger again in just a few weeks, so you reminded me how much I'm looking forward to seeing Toby's Big Black Beast again. I'm feeling none too courageous lately, so thank you for the encouragement! Even though he's been gone two years, I'm still missing Brogan very badly and I think this has a lot to do with with my "Labratour" is on Part III despite me having met some perfectly wonderful available puppies. But the search continues and along the way I get to meet a lot of wonderful dogs and their humans, so there is a definite upside.
Hi Emily, I can imagine you are enjoying your Labratours, and meeting everyone, dogs and humans! I am sure the right dog will come along for you somewhere along the line and you will know when it's the one. I read on this forum that they choose us rather than the other way around, which makes me feel I was just too easy as I went for the first black lab available. I am just so counting the days, Emily. Good luck with your tour and safe travels !
Yes, but going for the first available is also a way to get chosen. And trust me, I have a lot of admiration for people like you who can make a quick decision when it feels right!
Hello from the Southern suburbs of Sydney, Australia. Our new fur-child Maxx is 12 weeks old and has been with us for 4 weeks now. Our first (and only) lab passed away 7 years ago and it honestly took us that long to bring ourselves to get another...but now we are already in love with our little guy despite the 'teething' troubles of a new puppy. Hubby brings Max out to greet me coming down the hill from the bus from work every day and it there is nothing quite like the greeting you get - right? It melts your heart out through your (nibbled) shoes
