Lot of messages going round while I was driving! So far I'm planning to be in the area until Friday morning but could add a night so that anytime Friday would still work. I'm trying to sort out a breeder visit up north after my southernly sojourn but haven't pinned that down yet, so Saturday may also work, I'm just not sure yet. How's that for being slippery? :D

By the way, Sean (my satnav of the dulcet Irish tones) went on a bit of a bender today and took me to Belgium instead of France. I was thinking, "Geez, I don't remember those hills before...and shouldn't I have crossed the French border about an hour ago?". As you can imagine from all the time we spend together, I tend to think of Sean as a close personal friend, so he kind of let me down in his randomness today, but as we did eventually get to Calais, I guess he just thought I should try a different route.

We'll see if I make it to Kate's tomorrow via Dundee instead of London. If that happens, Sean and I may need to have a serious discussion about his reasons for leading me astray. You'd think I could trust the guy, after so many years together!

Your post and Emily's suggest that Friday afternoon looks promising. @Naya has already said she's OK Friday afternoon. How about @leejane, is this OK for you?

    Is anyone else available?

Well, the traffic circumnavigating London from Folkestone was horrible, but otherwise Sean (my satnav) behaved himself and I made to the Bristol area and more importantly the @Beanwood farm. Kate had a wonderful activity planned for the afternoon, but I had major (temporary) tummy issues, so I got taken care of by Nurse Brambelina at home instead.

All's better now, but zero photos - so under the @snowbunny rule, today didn't happen. Bummer - that nice visit with Kate and cuddles with Bramble, Bear and Casper must have been all in my head. ;) I will try better tomorrow!

And no, I didn't leave Benson off of my cuddle list on accident. He spent most of the time in his bed. I think he may be more than a little bent out of shape by the fact that Bear rivals him for the magnificent tale crown. He should be used to a bit of healthy competition, as Remy (the COUS - Cat of Unusual Size) already beat him out for top prize.

Tummy is on the mend and there's another day of dogginess ahead tomorrow, so I should do better with my documentation duties!

Oops, that should have been "TAIL" not "TALE". No offence to Benson, but considering Bear's dramatic rescue and transport to a new land (or at the very lead a new island), if it were a "TALE" contest, then Bear would win. Or Remy could still beat them all. I have a feeling he's a kitty 007 into counterespionage once the sun goes down. :D

Unfortunately I'm not going to be able to finish work early enough to get there on Friday, I couldn't leave here much before 1pm and I googled the car park link and it's further than I thought , about an hour and 40 mins. I think I was thinking of the malverns which you were talking about before Christmas and are quite a bit closer to me. I'll keep my eye out for future walks and see if there are any close enough for me to get to. Thanks for the invite though, have fun :)

Sorry to hear that. :( But totally understandable with the distance and especially Friday afternoon traffic!

Due to dodgy tummies, I left @Emily_BabbelHund with 3 very attentive labradors while I set off with Bear for lunch. We visited the rather lovely market town of Chipping Sodbury, where there a quite a few dog-friendly pubs and coffee shops.

We decided to mooch first, enjoying a bit of window shopping, Bear checking out the local news...whilst I admired some rather nice handbags on sale in the cute boutique shops

It was then I realised I was actually missing a different kind of bag...

    Poo bags.

So, instead of a relaxing walk, I started to really worry about the prospect of Bear having a poo.

Which of course, he did...Right. In. The. Middle. Of. The. Street.

    Oh God..what do I do???

Digging around in my bag, I find an old bank statement, complete with envelope..yippee!! I take out the envelope, and scrape the said poo somehow into it. The thing is, as this was a lunch date I was wearing a smart coat, nice handbag, boots...and gingerly carrying in front of me a giant poo like some sort of bizarre chocolate cone. Despite all this, I still found myself mentally noting, consistency and colour. Unfortunately Bear seemed to realise that we were nearing our destination, and his ambling walk became rather more of a brisk trot. By luck more than chance I managed to throw the poo into a bin, catching an odd look by a builder realise to my horror it was one of those builder bin things???

Anyhow, we enjoyed a great lunch and Bear wolfed a huge plate of complimentary sausages! :)
