Is it normal for labs to shed their hair all year around?

Labs shed 2x per year, both times for 6 months.

We have had 2 yellow Labs; the first didn't really shed until he was 6 months old but never stopped after that. Our current pup is 11 weeks and shedding puppy fluff already. You really do need a vacuum cleaner that can cope with pet hair.

We splashed out a rather large sum of money for a Dyson allegedly able to cope with pet hair which has given up and died on us after just 2yrs and a couple of months :(

We've got one of those Dyson handheld vacuums (so far it's been a life saver and working well). But one died on us a year and a half after we purchased it. We wrote them email asking for replacement (lucky I think it's still under warranty) and they replaced it straight away... fiuhhh relieved cause they're expensive!

Same here. It gets used at least once a day, often more - I even took it to the UK with me when I was there for a couple of months with the new puppy. Far easier than lugging a normal vacuum around each day. Glad to hear their customer service is good in case of failure :)

I just looked up uses of pet hair. It's used for cleaning up oil spills! Wow! https://www.care2.com/greenliving/7-surprising-ways-to-use-pet-hair.html

We call them labra-hamsters. Harley does contrbute to them but so do the cats. Her shedding has improved as she is maturing.
