My particular Waterloo was Rory sitting on my chest in the local park with a football in his mouth while everyone I knew with a dog walked passed and giggled. I just lay back and laughed. To be honest I'm always covered in mud and dog treats and smell so join the smelly dog person club. I once saw a posh lady with lovely shoes have them sucked off by some thick mud I giggled cos she called me scruffy the week before. Filth and food is a badge of honour you can't make can omelette without breaking eggs you can't train a dog without getting mucky. So sorry you're upset it's crappy day tomorrow will be better. I sure the posh ladies had troubles of their own and they were probably relieved it wasn't them sitting in the mud today. Just take care off yourself and stop being so hard on yourself you do a great job with the Pig.
Thanks, sorry just another self-pitying moment in the Chronicles of the Pig! I don’t know what I’d do without this forum. The Pig had a great time, obviously. Now I have to buy another harness I’m making OH take her out for a lead walk tonight, I can’t face it. Stoopid Dog stoopid walk stoopid me
Oh, you are so not alone! Just ask @Hollysdad and @Emily_BabbelHund about Pongo's behaviour last time we went walking on the Beacon.... Don't beat yourself up, you do a great job with the Pig and she is a happy, happy pup. That's what matters in the end.
Oh Lara, I'm sorry that you had such a pants start to the day. I can't say it any better than Swampy, but tomorrow's a new day. I hope you're relaxing tonight with the vice of your choice
Actually to make things worse I had forgotten that we had Pig School this evening so had to rush straight out from work! But actually she was very well behaved, because she was so knackered from her hunting this morning and now, Indian takeaway
I have been ill all week and just starting to get back to normal. It is amazing how Vanilla has adapted over the week. Beginning of the week she could not understand why I was constantly sleeping and was whining and being very nervous. She would not leave me alone. Within a few days she adapted and just sleep when I would sleep and be awake when I would be. Even though the walks have been limited she seems happy I love her.
That's why I love them they are so adaptable. Mine have been great and it's nice because the do like to be with us.
Weird freaky dog walking accident. Rolos dad was walking him he grabbed his collar got his hand caught in rolos id discs. They embedded in his finger and sliced into his tendons and nerves. He's done quite a bit of damage and then when they did surgery to repair them he had a bad anaesthetic reaction. Terrible poor man. Strangest thing I've heard for a while
Very weird rolos lively just a bit silly and yes massive any he pulled when the discs embedded. Made me feel a bit shivery yuk poor bloke.
Ugh, speaking of accidents... Ella was super excited when I got to training this morning so I was spending time working Ella closer to the group while keeping calm. Then some silly woman walks straight up to us, letting her dog run to the end of its lead and up to Ella. I wasn't quick enough to say anything and had to scramble to keep hold of Ella. As Ella lunged and I clung on, I ended up with a huge scratch on my leg
He's all stitched and mended so hopefully he will be ok now. It may take a while but everyone is helping out if they can
On the road to Heathrow for big holidays. It's lovely but all I can think of at the moment is that I've left my tiny little puppy behind for three weeks. I'm silly because I know he will have a great time.
