Alfie is behaving a little strange. He won’t eat his dry food but when I soaked it he gobbled it up. I thought he might have sore teeth but happily chewed his nyla bone and bully stick treat thing. Yesterday we had a long walk and he did drink out of a water trough and was sick twice yesterday evening but has been fine all day today. He’s also drinking fine and his pooh was a tiny bit soft but only a little. I am at a bit of a loss and wondered if anyone else had any ideas?
I read that... Mmmm maybe he has just decided he likes it soaked and there’s nothing wrong with him? Im just worried he s in pain or poorly and I m missing something :s
He is maybe a bit off colour. See how he is tomorrow. Lilly drinks from all kinds of puddles without and adverse effects. You would have thought a water trough a better source of water than a mucky puddle on a farm track
How long has the bag been open? Sometimes they can go off it when it gets towards the bottom of the bag.
Maisy did this at 7 months, I found that different ways of feeding helped like scattering the (dry) kibble on the floor, using it as treats when training, playing 'find it' around the house/garden.
Have you checked the bag isn't out of date? I'd also give the food a good sniff, if it's been stored somewhere damp it could well be mouldy.
