See, I sometimes think his features look a bit out of proportion there, he grew into his face much better a few weeks later. He was so poorly just two days before those photos were taken, the vet said it was touch and go. And he continued to be so for another 2 months, off and on, before another vet finally diagnosed giardia and we got it sorted. Not all happy puppy memories but we love him even more because of it.
Good luck with the spay. We were given a cone from the vets but Haley hated it and kept head butting me with it so we took it off. I slept with her and she didn’t try licking the wound at all. She was out of sorts for several days as it was a emergency spay as she had pyometra and a twisted hernia. The GA I think was the hardest as she whined a lot which she never usually does.
