By "import" do you mean from another country's breeding programme? She's a beautiful girl, what a face!
Ohhhhh Kara! She was with me fro seven to twelve weeks old. Her ‘proper’ puppy walker went to see her work today before she goes to live with her blind owner. I had a weep, I still miss her - it was awful letting her go so young. I am really proud. Here she was as a pup with me, she was such a darling xx Here she is working - This was her reaction when she met her puppy walker - Beautiful, clever girl about to start doing the job she was born for. Go well darling girl, work hard and play lots xxx
These two are going to produce the next generation Stud Dog Toby, Golden Retriever and Brood bitch Krista, German Shepherd who have just been mated at the breeding centre. They look very pleased with themselves. I think they will have lovely puppies.
They do indeed! I love the photos of Kara. Seeing her run towards her 'proper' puppy walker (as you put it) teared me up. I wish you would have gotten to go see her as well, I know she was your puppy too. Another one you can be really proud of!
I am very excited. I fundraised and named a Guide Dog puppy Rachel, in loving memory of my Mum. She is born and here is her photo - she is a full Golden Retriever and was born on the 5th February 2018, Mum Isobel and Dad Pascale. What a gorgeous wee teddy bear! Siblings Thomas, Blue, Poppy and Olive Mum Isobel - Dad Pascale - Brother Thomas - Sister Olive - I haven’t tracked down Poppy or Blue yet
Congratulations, Mags. I know you've been working on and looking forward to this for a long time. A lovely tribute to your mother. And they are all (of course) adorable and have good solid names. Sometimes the Guide Dogs naming is a little.. "eccentric". Don't suppose you have a chance at puppy walking her? Or are you waiting for a Coffee pup?
No, she’s already with her puppy walker. I used the ‘jungle drums’ and I’ve tracked her down so I’m hoping for photos as she grows I am hoping for a Coffee pup as he started work this month. But it all depends on timing as new stud dogs only have three litters at first to check on the health of the pups. So we’ll see .
