Dog Unfriendly Episode

Australia is not dog friendly either - similar to New Zealand. We have the odd dog-friendly café or restaurant and they are not allowed on public transport unless they are an assistance dog. It's like living in the dark ages

Costa coffee is quite well known in the UK. I think they're of Portuguese origin even.
I love places where they fuss over our dogs, it just leaves me feeling warm inside.
You are right, I will put this through to Facebook - dog friendly places in Cascais where I live and see what comes.
I used to take Leão to dog friendly beaches, but mostly to the lakes and forests; also went to town with him on leash and would have to leave him tied outside mostly (the laws are quite new as said before..) but still, I took him where I could.

 

This is really weird @Maxx's Mum, I was honestly thinking only Portugal would still be mostly in the dark here in what regards dog friendly..this is coming as a bit of a surprise from NZ and Australia too. In the UK, according to @Boogie and @Naya, from what I gather, it depends on whereabouts in the UK. Germany seems mostly cool though.
Maybe I am expecting too much from Portugal, but still I do expect some kindness and open mindedness on dog friendly, yes.
Forgot to say, dogs are let on public transport here as long as decently "conditioned" (have to check what that means, otherwise, again, it will depend on the eye of the beholder - in this case the bus driver..etc).

Just a forewarning to skip my videos so that you don't have a bad nights sleep from my accent.

It is lovely that more places (mostly peri-urban) in our area are opening up and allowing dogs to be outside. With such a steady climate it is pleasant to be outside more times that not and on the weekend we went to a food truck event that was held at a local dog park so Harley went with, as long as the dogs are on leash they are welcome. At the moment she is still a little restless and impulsive to take along for a meal but in future we will consider it.

And I have to add that I am actually happy we are restricted from taking Harls to too many places because as an introvert and homebody it gives me so much more reason to stay home

 

Sorry HarleyQuinn I won't skip your videos though, I love watching everyones' videos here on the forum, and seeing the doggies, it's lovely. Worth even putting up with the South African English accent

I love hanging around with Gaston. Even if just for watching the world go by..Gaston is too small to be (too) restless just of yet, of course he does not know how to behave though, he is only 2,5 months so at this age his inquisitiveness just gets the better of him, which is only natural. I do however think it's great for him to come along with us, see and enjoy the world, and the more he does that, the more relaxed and confident he will become, and being outdoors will should then come as second nature to him. My previous lab was very boisterous, he would get really excited and I feel sorry I didn't take him out more than I did (he'd go the the forest, lakes and beaches but loved people and didn't interact with them as much as he should of I think..), I am convinced that he would have calmed down along the way.
I am at home more than suits me, so could do without the so many restrictions The main one for me also being that I still have to carry Gaston around and that becomes really tiring on my arms (should help with creating some arm muscle hopefully ).
