I’m very excited! The Logic Gel just arrived so I immediately tried it to see if Axel liked it and he does, so does Gizmo. Yay! Only took 4 weeks too, instead of the 8 weeks expected delivery:D

Now my question is, will this help remove the build up on his back molars or will only an actual dental cleaning at the vet do that?

Wow, you are cleaning your cat's teeth. And Gizmo hasn't slashed your arms to bits:D
I'm impressed and jealous in equal parts. Our aged cat of 18 +yrs now has no teeth, so many wet cat foods have added sugars which it took us years to notice:facepalm:

Sorry I can't answer your question but sounds like you are doing a great job!

Well, truthfully, I can’t brush Gizmo’s teeth for exact reason you said, I like my arms and hands in one piece :D But I’m hoping him licking it off my finger will be enough for now. Eventually I will work up to rubbing the gel on his teeth and hopefully one day using a brush, but I feel like he’s going to be a much longer process than Axel was. I’m just glad that he actually will lick up this toothpaste as he wouldn’t with the old one.

Yes I learned the hard way with Odie that wet food is a no no when it comes to good dental care, so Gizmo is only fed kibble.

If I were having kittens again,I would start on dry food and never waver. (She says)

I don’t know if I’ll ever get a kitten again (aka - a monster in a cute itty bitty fluffy body:devil:)

Next puppy I will be brushing their teeth from the start!

My experience is that the Logic gel does remove existing plaque to a large extent. Give it a few weeks to let it do its work and then reassess :)

I use Logic on a rescue cat that came to me with disgusting breath and yellow teeth. She only licks it off my finger, I value my fingers too much to actually put them in her mouth  :D, and it's made a vast difference.
She is only young so I don't know how well it would work on an older animal, but I was really pleased with the difference it made.

Ok thank you, I’ll see how it looks in a month. I noticed improvement with the old tooth paste but just on very fresh plaque, not the brown stuff, and that was after a month and a bit of using it every night.

Have to say, Logic hasn't helped with the two brown patches on Coco's back teeth.

On the packaging it says it works best after a professional cleaning... Poppy's teeth were getting a bit brown but we had them cleaned and polished when she was spayed a year ago. I am very pleased that both dogs like the taste of the Logic gel and are much happier for me to brush their teeth with it than the toothpaste I used before.

Ummmm, quick question - how much of this stuff do you all use on your dogs' teeth? Mine love it so much I seem to be getting through it at a huge rate, and it is not cheap at all!!! (Their teeth are looking great though...)

Oh, I may be overdoing it a bit... I've been refilling the toothbrush three times per dog, and I've also been putting a bit on their Kong's when I haven't time to brush their teeth, this seems to keep them very happy and means that the gel is in their mouth for longer (I hope).

OK, I'll cut down the amount. Otherwise I would be getting through a tube a week! o_O

Also - have you ever tried the Logic dental chews? They seem rather expensive, but I was wondering if they might not be a good backup for when tooth brushing is not possible.

I reckon it would be cheaper to smear a little of the gel over a regular rawhide - or in a kong as you already do :D

I've used those and they're a bit of a choking hazard. I had to shove my hand down once to clear the obstruction - never again!

Regarding amount, I just line the top of the toothbrush, which is your bog-standard large end of a double-ended dog toothbrush. I alternate which portion of the mouth I start with since that gets the most toothpaste, rather than reapplying more toothpaste. Everything still ends up with a good brushing.

I've tried the Logic chews and found them an expensive waste if money. Measure around 5" in length and a couple of kilometres in thickness. Took Jen about a minute to demolish. I dudn't find them a choke hazard as too brittle. A few crunches and they were gone. I actually threw have the pack away.
