I found Ella to be my source of mental sanity (haha, I do realise how hilarious that sounds - especially to new puppy owners :D). I'd walk for kms every day, baby in the pram, to get myself fresh air and into the outside world!

I also went back to dog club when Nathan was two weeks old. It gave OH and Nathan time together on their own (super important, in my opinion) and gave Ella and I one on one time, baby free!

    Exciting times ahead! :)

Whoop whoop! We've got some decent weather at last! It's been windy/foggy/misty/wet all week - today we have a still sunshiny day. We haven't got the heat, it's only 13C, but I can do with out that anyway. Wonderful, peaceful walk in the plantation this morning.

When Ella does a poo in the garden, we grab a bag, pick it up and chuck the bag down the side of the house and over the gate to where the bins live. It sounds quite lazy (it probably is) but the gate is stiff to open and we just put the bag in the bin when we're there (and we go to the bin every time the kid has a dirty nappy). Anyway, OH got a little carried away the other day and threw the bag straight up in the air! It got stuck to a tree and now we can't get it down

We went on a (on lead, controlled) pack walk yesterday and Ripple managed to completely wind himself before it even started .

While we were waiting to set off he spotted another chocolate lab and we allowed them to say hello. Ripple then went completely silly leaping in the air and managed to land on his side on the hard car park surface. He laid there for a few seconds then got up coughing and shaking himself. I did a quick examine of him and he seemed to be ok so we set off on the walk, needless to say the other lab owners gave us a wide berth .

I've checked him since and again this morning and he doesn't seem to have any ill effects, but that was quite spectacular even for Ripple.

He certainly seems ok, if it was me that had fallen I'd be all bruised and sore, and struggling to walk - I can't believe he's had no ill effects. I'm certainly going to keep a close eye on him for the next few days.

Ripple reminds me of Coco - full of joie de vivre. Sounds like he winded himself momentarily.

There is a pig being clicker trained on my tv.

I don’t know if I am in shock.. or I really want a pig!

I'd forgotten what hard work agility is. Ripple had great fun but I feel as if I've dislocated everything from the hips down .

Ooooh yes. We went for a 1-2-1 tonight, to see how much Pongo remembers from his agility sessions two years ago. The answer is that he remembers pretty much everything, but I've completely forgotten how to go round a course. I used to be able to cut the corners and get to the end of the tunnel before him - tonight I fell over him twice. My body hurts. Proper class in a fortnight, I think I need to be in better shape...

I feel sorry for our instructor - there's three of us in the group, she patiently explains the course to us then we all go off and do it completely differently   .
