As we get quite a few Squirrels in our garden and Charlie goes nuts when he sees them I have been doing some LAT training. Bearing in mind last year Charlie actually smashed two french windows trying to get to the darn Squirrels  (unbelievably he wasn't hurt).

Training is paying off, he can now stand at the window looking at the Squirrels CALMLY yes I know CALMLY, this is not a word I use often to describe Charlie :D whilst I C&T.

One day Charlie, one day we will get there, just the Ducks on the river to work on next  x

We had lots of young squirrels down the lane and Rourke would go and find one in the hedge/tree and then run back to me to tell me, never chased one! Now cats are a different matter!

Yep TWO, one of which was antique glass :( the other a full length window. How he didn't cut his paws the shreds I have no idea.

Being ahead of you Kate, I'll take that as it's never happened before! :D x

    Wow, well done @charlie
I have no chance of stopping Harley chasing squirrels! She goes nuts as soon as she sees one and there is no stopping her!

Charlie has made more progress, dare I say with fingers and toes crossed! He was in the sitting room when along came a squirrel digging around in the garden. I didn't have my clicker or any treats on me, typical  BUT he stood totally relaxed watching the squirrel do it's thing then ran off across the lawn and up a tree without a sound or movement, he just wasn't bothered. Best of all I still have my french windows intact!! :D xx

Crikey, well done. I haven't a hope in hell of stopping either of mine going doolally when they see a squirrel. Molly was getting better and listening to me but since the arrival of Sam the Cracker-Dog she has stopped listening.

    I'm really not managing with 2 :(

It gets easier with time, you will get used to it :) I only have one now but for the last 33 years I always had two or three together.

    Brilliant

My Tatze goes doolaly when she sees a cat. But she doesn’t see enough cats for me to do anything about it

    Squirrels she just quietly watches.
