Joy likes to wee in her special muddy puddle then drink from it, then roll in it. I think it's all just about being a dog really.
None of our other dogs did, you might be lucky. How thick is your pool? We went to the farm supply store and got thick rubber and hard rubber tubs. They can't chew them and the claws don't rip them open. They use ones just bigger than themselves as beds or platforms. The one he peed in is 40 inches by 24 or so. It is easy to flip and refill with the hard sides. Have fun with your baby in the water!
Ours seem to not wee when swimming. If we are out in a boat, and they have been swimming, they want to get to land to wee. Maybe if they had no choice they would.
