Nice part of the county. Little Joy (teeny tiny black Lab, 1 year old) and I are in Sowerby Bridge, near Halifax. Shame, if you'd been nearer I might have come and snaffled him!
He is so adorable. I've never seen a lab that red colour that you have in the UK here in Australia. We only have the three standard colours as far as I know.
I've only seen one sliiiiightly red Lab. I'm sure they must be around because there's a lot of semen importing going on (googles, finds breeders) but they don't seem to be as common as they are in the UK. And apparently the foxys are more expensive here than your standard yellows!
Pepper’s Mum was very pale yellow, his Dad was quite a dark shade of red, so he’s much more like his Dad in terms of colour. Out of his litter of eight, two of the dogs were quite dark, the rest a much lighter shade of red and the two bitches were pale yellow. All were the same price.
He is so adorable. Reminds me of Harley when she was younger I didn’t pay any extra for Harley compared to other litters of yellow / black / chocolate.
OH was away overnight and we FaceTimed this morning. The little man went nuts when he heard her voice on my phone, and then spent five minutes searching the house for her! Will be fun to see his reaction when she returns home tonight! And I’ve already been asked what bad habits I’ve let him develop whilst she’s been away! As if...
Well he’s been mischievous this morning... Found his first stick... Stole a flip flop... Had his collar and lead on for the first time - not happy about that! Then had his elevenzies in a frozen Kong... And finally a zooming round the garden whilst the lawn was being watered! I’m exhausted but I don’t think he is!
