Before I rush Murphy to the vet, any ideas what this rash might be? It’s a fairly pronounced raised lump (which is how I found it when I was petting him) on the side of his front leg. It's scaly with some dried discharge on it. I took the best photo I could before the wiggles started. Any ideas?

Is that on the outside of his elbow? Does he like to lay on hard surfaces? Labs are prone to getting callouses on their elbows if they lay down on concrete or similar for extended periods. It might be that?

I was also thinking a callous since he does love to lay on our slate floors or in the shade on the concrete out back. I've been trying to watch him lie down and see if that patch of skin is under his elbow when he's laying down, but of course he is currently zooming around with a toy with no intention of laying down.

I'll keep an eye on it. The discharge threw me off since my previous dogs' callouses didn't have any.

I was also thinking callous , it might have become infected, hence the weeping , let your Vet have a look as antibiotics might be needed .
