£30 on a snuggle puppy with a heartbeat and heat pad... but no. Let’s cuddle with a carrot. I’ve got visions of having to take it to puppy class with us
I am now 10 weeks old! This week I’ve been to a market, the train station, the garden centre and the pet shop (guess which was my favourite!) Mummy has bought me a puppy carrier which she attaches to her front so I can be carried around without her arms killing her - I also got a ride in a trolley at the garden centre! 3 weeks till I can walk on the floor! Ps no accidents inside the house for 2 days now AND I’ve slept from 9pm - 7am.. mummy is acting like she’s won the lottery! Lol Pps - I can now do touch, sit, down, fetch, leave, find (if it’s a treat) and spin... I LOVE my clicker training. We are working on wait and have managed to get to 10 seconds! Mummy says if I could just stop biting her to the point where she has holes in her clothes (and her arms) I would be the perfect puppy!
To be fair to him.. he actually is... when he’s at school! Today he came to school with me from 8.30am - 4.30pm. In that time (children aren’t allowed to touch him but they obviously walk past etc) he went into 2 different class rooms (socialisation) went into forest school with a bunch of kids running around screeching, stayed on lead whilst I taught a class from 1pm - 3pm and even had a nap in his crate whilst kids were playing. He was angelic. Literally sat every time a child walked past, he then laid under my chair whilst I was in a meeting from 3pm - 4pm. Angelic. Not one accident. I put him in the car to come home... slept the whole way... got home and he’s like the devil. Biting, chewed up the carpet (serves me right for daring to go a wee!), had an accident in the house, has ran around manically almost constantly since 5pm (it’s now 10pm!). He’s also been very very bitey! I’m assuming it’s because during the day it’s got to be so structured that when he gets home it’s just FREEDOM time! That puppy energy has to go somewhere and he spends literally all day concentrating so he gets home And it comes out! I’ve been putting in unstructured time at school so that he gets off lead time in forest school just for a sniff and a little play. I did recall work with a child today who was just beaming at the fact Maslow would run to him when he called him!
You must he so proud of him, the kids clearly adore him already. The crazy times soon pass, well mostly.xx
I am stupidly proud. He is doing beyond my expectations in so many ways. We have a dog phobic member of staff and every morning she is giving him a treat. She was/is terrified of dogs and every morning he sits and waits for her to get the confidence to give him a treat. Well this morning he swiped a lick at her toes and traumatised her but hey it’s all progress

He looks a bit wonky as it was the first time we tried it, but we did 40 minutes at a market in this on Sunday, it was brilliant. He was SO settled in it, every now and again put his head up and licked my neck lol I wouldn’t use it a lot but for days when we have to go out and he has to come it’s ideal - I physically cannot carry him for much more than 15 minutes without my arms killing.
I know that it's early days, but it all sounds so promising for his therapy work. LOL @ the baby carrier, oh the humiliation.
What was worse was when one woman came over to stroke him and I had to point out that actually she was stroking my chest not the dog. In fairness I would have let it go but she was actually stroking me repeatedly lol
I think she was ok till her boyfriend started wetting himself with laughter Puppy is hell this morning! I’m flying Solo again and kids need stuff ironing and breakfast etc. So far he’s jumped up on the side and grabbed my sons medication. Thank god I was standing right there and grabbed it out of his mouth before he swallowed it. So much for my ‘I would always exchange for a treat’ poor boy had my fingers well and truly in his mouth but he’s safe and lesson learned.. he can now reach the side He’s also figured out that if he runs full pelt at the (60l) bin he can knock it over and eat the contents (10 minutes on google to check about tomatoes!) his poos are going to be amazing today I suspect I swear I don’t understand how he does it, I don’t take my eyes off him! I actually watched him jump at the side and thought ‘yeah good luck buddy’ then this gigantic tongue flicked out like a horror movie and just swiped it. His feet didn’t even touch the floor before I had it out of his mouth. I know he’s a bit ADHD but I think self medicating himself might be a bit much. Genuinely really shook up tbh. Nearly had a heart attack.
Pepper always has a mad half hour after his breakfast and has the first time this week managed to counter surf, and yes it’s a big shock! Now he’s curled up next to OH looking like butter wouldn’t melt!
Rory ran up the back of a sofa jumped to a chair then a widow sill ran along that then grabbed an inhaler and tried to run off with it. They are tiny terrors Rory was very young when he did this.
