Sorry @SwampDonkey to read about your chemo and hope you are able to get the new drugs ASAP. Rory sounds like he is doing so well and looking for playtimes with other dogs.

I read your latest post with sadness @SwampDonkey , so sorry about your chemo failing , that's pants .
I`m glad that Rory has settled into a routine now . I went through it all with little Nelly who just seemed to have begun to accept that Sam had gone, when I was rushed into hospital and gone from her life for what she must have thought was a very long time , then I came home but was bed bound for ages. What I have learned though, is that dogs are resilient , they just accept and that's that . If only it were so simple for us , the sad owners who struggle day on day to cope without our darling dogs , but we do, because we have to . We slowly learn to manage , to live without them and to enjoy the dog left behind . Sending you hugs and special thoughts x

I'm sorry to hear about your health @SwampDonkey, I have everything crossed that the new drug is available as soon as possible.

Still not available but hopefully soon. It happens often so it's fine. I'm still in progress so it's ok.

Thinking of you SwampDonkey. You helped me with your support when my Bailey was strangled by his collar. It was much appreciated. Sending hugs:hug:

    Haha ! Cassie agrees!

It's good to read your update and evaluation of your grieving process, but I'm sorry you are having to wait for the treatment that you need. It seems though, that you are coping with the situation with your usual fortitude and good humour. On the forum anyway.

I definitely thought of you this afternoon -- there were 2 red kites following a tractor mowing in a field we were walking by, they came closer than I've ever seen them before -- I could almost touch them, and could see the gorgeous red feathers so clearly. Then on the way back the skylarks were singing -- just beautiful!

That sounds perfect some of my favourite birds :)
Im really ok about the new drug situation I've walked this way many times and that part of me is neatly boxed and saved for later. My consultant is a cunning pushy woman who like gets her own way.
I've got to the stage with Moo that I still feel sad but smile at the memories. She really was a bossy pain in the bum.:D

I don't think the sadness ever goes, but the overwhelming love blankets over it quite satisfactorily

    This is good.
    That's what you need.
There are loads of sneaky ways to get unlicensed, unapproved or free drugs. If you know how to go about it.

We have lots of Scooby's toys in his toy box. Gave away the pristine ones (is the ones he didn't love) but can't bear to throw the tatty ones away, the ones he loved. Coco doesn't have them, they're stuffies & he only has balls & tuggies. So they stay in their box.
