I bought this for Maslow (nearly 12 weeks) last week as frankly he was paying no attention to his nylabones AT ALL.

Ohhhh it’s amazing. He cannot get through it despite a good couple of hours of trying. I’m limiting it to evenings only so that it keeps the ‘treat’ factor but so far so good!

    Thanks for the recommendation @Leanne82

My pup has a couple of Nylabones and the only one he really seemed 'enthralled' with was the softer puppy one, however I never felt comfortable giving him it without constant supervision as it was very easy for him to break apart and potentially swallow chunks.

Any other food based treat was gone within seconds so if this lasts as long with him as it does for you, we could be onto a winner!

These were a sanity saver when my pup was small, she loved them more than anything, she's never really taken to nylabones.
Handy tip - When you've got a smallish lump left that you're worried your dog might swallow then cook it in a microwave until it puffs up like popcorn, no waste!

Nooooo they smell lovely! Quite sweet but not really an odor at all! Honestly I’m ridiculously impressed!

Maslow is the same! I bought the puppy pack and he has ignored 2 out of the 3 and the 3rd one he ate in about 10 seconds

I get the yak chews for Plum but it takes her no time at all to get through them. I can't remember when I started giving them to her, perhaps not as a pup, but I was always amused by the advice that you can pop any remaining bits in the microwave, what remaining bits?? Plum polishes the lot off in about 20 mins!

The chew which lasts longest for her is this

I can't say I've noticed much smell. But then, I don't think pizzles smell, either.

Dried tripe, now that's something else. :puke:

Pepper loved them for a couple of weeks and then seem to get bored with them. He has one at the moment that’s lasted over a week!

The smell when you microwave the last little bit is not good at all.

What a great thread, thanks everyone! I'd been about to post a request for suggestions for tough chews because Wilson gets through most things really quickly. The Himalayan yak things last about 20 minutes so the beef scalp and fish rolls are next on my list to try!

Pepper’s new favourite is pig’s snout.
