Okay im looking advice on my 14 week choc lab I got him two weeks ago... and I’m wounderimg is his behavior normal I have had dogs before but not as quite and placid as him... wen I first got him he was a frightened wee thing he has came round loads but he’s not a very bouncy pup he sleeps in my bedroom with me.. which I don’t mind about... but he has to follow me around my house r he cry’s he plays a bit but mostly prefers to follow me and just sit beside me either sleeping or just sitting waiting on me.. he’s brilliant with other dogs loves playing with them and potty training is going brilliant only an accident wen I leave him... should he not be more playful or is this normal he loves getting cuddles and we walk him just he follows me everywhere and doesn’t seem to want to go and investigate or anything thanks xx

Hi Melissa, and welcome to the forum. It sounds as if you are doing really well with your pup but that perhaps he could do with a bit more confidence. It's great that he likes other dogs. Are you taking him out and about a lot, to meet new people too and experience new situations? If so, his confidence will grow as he gets used to life. :)

Hey yea he’s getting walked loads and he comes everywhere with me. And I bring him to places with dogs so he gets used to them and to my family’s houses or parks etc he’s a gorguz wee dog very loving but was just worried for him he was use to a litter of 10 and when I got him there was 8 left and then his mum and they were kept in a barn don’t think they were touched much or handled xx

Well, it sounds as though you are doing a great job helping him now, hopefully his confidence will continue to grow. Don't worry too much about walking, he doesn't need much exercise yet, but getting out and about with you is the key :)
