    Hi everyone,
Thanks in advance for any help.
Will a real soccer ball last as a toy ?
I know the cheap soccer balls have a rough surface that is revealed when the black and white colored paper is chewed off.
They make a dog version of a soccer ball, just have no experience with it.
We use holy rollers, but I am looking for a ball that is Safe, and can be kicked around at a fast pace.

Hi Jon, I don't have an answer for you with regard to real soccer balls I'm afraid, but your best bet is probably to stick with toys designed to be able to withstand some rough treatment by dogs. The Kong and Goughnuts ranges are good.

My concern has never been for the ball but for my pup's joints. He has always run and rolled o er the ball or tried to get it in such a way that we never felt it was safe for his joints at this young age. But we have also never been sure if we are over protective!

    Thank you Kobe
    That is certainly more important
Our pup Summer likes to push it or chase it when thrown
Most of his playing is rough housing with his older brother Raphael(6 3/4 years old)
We can’t let them do a tug of war because our pup is only 14.5 weeks old and gets pulled to hard by Raphael
