Hi gang, My wife and I are childless and after a lot of talk and research we have gone with a Labrador puppy. Her name is Gemma, she is 10 weeks old and has turned our home and lives upside down. We love her being in our lives and are striving to make her a smart, stimulated and lucky dog. I spoil her rotten, and we are teaching her as much as possible. I grew up with mongrels, most kelpie X dogs. She is my first indoor/outdoor dog so it's a big learning curve for me. I will be reading more than talking for the next couple of months. Thanks for letting me join up!
Welcome to you all from myself and Mason chocolate lab 13 months. Your right it does turn your life upside down but then when you come out the other side and trust me you will it’s so rewarding seeing the hard work pay off
Hello and welcome from me and little Joy, a small and very sweet black lab, just coming up for 16 months. Yes! our lives were turned upside down by her when she was a small puppy. And Yes! So they were by all the other Lab puppies we'd had ( four previous ones in all) And Yes! We somehow forgot that, every single time because the resulting adult dog was just such a delight. I have recently lost my husband and Joy, although small of stature is massive of heart and helps me through every single day. So don't worry, let your puppy be a puppy, stick with this forum and you'll have the best friend ever. Honest.
