Hi Our 5 month old pup (dog) has a strange toilet problem/routine, he will only pee or poo in back garden despite us having fields and woods beside our house. We can take him out for a walk and he will do nothing but as soon as we get back he wants out in garden to pee or poo. Another strange behaviour he has is for no reason he will pee in the house even if back door is open, tonight I was standing in kitchen and he came through and peed right in front of me. He goes whole night with not a drop but between 6pm and bed time he seems to pee constantly. Ollie70
Not so strange. Your dog lacks the confidence to be seen doing such things by the community at large. You need to reward him for doing it that spot in the garden. And ensure you clean your floor inside thorougly. You have to get rid of the smell of urine. Easy one. He voids his bladder during the evening and there is nothing left for the night shift. Seriously, you will need to take him out on lead to the same spot in the garden throughout the evening and give him a treat each and everytime he urinates in the garden.
