How far along is my lab?

I bought my 3.5 year old female lab 53 days ago and about a week ago she’s looks very pregnant to me.. can anyone with experience guess how far along she may be? The first picture was taken Christmas Day. It looks like she’s grown a lot all of a sudden...

However, if you suspect your girl might be pregnant then we definitely recommend a chat with your vet to check her and her puppies' health before the birth!

Labrador pregnancy is on around 63 days long, so if you're certain she hasn't mated in her time with you, then she'll be quite far along!

However there are other conditions which can cause abdominal swelling as well, so a trip to your vet is the only way to find out for sure what's going on.

Hi Kevin, As Sarah has said definitely get down to the vet to have her checked over. Hopefully it's just a case of a few too many Christmas treats

She definitely needs to see a vet, pregnancy or not...something is going on. I hope she is ok .

I’m going to the vet Saturday morning. For the last couple of days I can feel and see the puppies moving around in her. Tonight they were very active all over her .

 

Ooh that’s exciting...what will the pups be like...?

 

Well the original owner has a full blooded chocolate male so I’m hoping she’s will be having full blooded pups
