Kind of concerned about my pup’s weight after researching online.. she was 10 lbs or 4.5 kg at 10 weeks. Now is 13 lbs or 5.9 kg at 11 weeks. she was the smaller of the few of her litter that I saw, but seems like she is growing just fine.. maybe she’ll just be a smaller lab? would always be easier to get back into the duck hunting boat!
my pup seems to be lining up pretty close to this, and i see this is from over two years ago.. any idea how much she is now fully grown?
My Choc Lab Jax weighed in today a 53 pounds at 18 weeks , He is the English Variety with bright yellar eyes . His daddy was over 100 big head and thick bodied. House trained at 8 weeks using the bell method - this dog is beyond wicked smart in all areas. This is our first Lab and Jax is no doubt the sweetest gentlest dog we have ever had. Our 1,2,3,4, year old Grandkids can climb , chase , pull his ears and he just loves it. Seems like he just knows that he's big and has to walk carefully around the little ones. Little concerned that he might be getting to big to fast , but he does get plenty of fenced in acreage to run.
Update on Jakey. He will be 6 months on the 4th and he now weighs 79.2lbs(35.9kg). He's not fat, just big.
My Buddy is American lab. At 8 weeks was 6.5 kgs and today at 19.4 weeks is close to 53.6 lb. Doesn't look overweight to me (well seeing through moms eyes). But looking at average weight, I am getting little worried...
I wouldn't stress over his weight. Some labs are just much bigger than others. At 18 weeks Jakey was 54lbs, not fat, just big. His dad is 147, his mom is 108 and his grandfather was 153. His dad is an American , his mom an English. Your dog's not ordinary, he's extraordinary!
Poppy at 12 weeks is 15.5 lb. She was the smallest of her litter but is growing nicely. She was 10 lb at almost 9 weeks.
Marco 13 weeks today and weighed at the vet and was 10.1 kg. He will be a big boy but I think he has some catching up to do as he had diarrhoea at 10 weeks.
Simba was weighed today at 7 months old he is 25kg. Is he overweight? He doesn’t look over weight and can still feel his ribs if I run my fingers along his chest. Can’t see his ribs though. Is this about right?
