She has been gassy for a long time. It is very foul. She does not eat table scraps or human food at all. She is a very fast eater (we feed her twice a day). Her bowels are somewhat soft too. She turns 1 on Feb 6 so we are going to take her to the vet for a checkup. Any advice though on the gas?
It could possibly be the food she's eating. If a particular ingredient is irritating her tummy that could give her gas.
It doesn't sound like the food she is eating, is suiting her... Personally, I wouldn't take food recommendations from a vet - because they receive almost zero training on nutrition. I would seek to feed a diet which is species-specific and as close to a natural diet as possible. For me, this is a complete raw. There is nothing wrong with giving table scraps or 'human food' (whatever that is!) - but you should be using that to train with....
