I have an extremely picky Yorkshire terrier who refuses to eat kibble. I've been feeding him variety of canned food which he's very happy with..
I feed mine butchers puppy perfect and although I substitute it dry it can be fed alone. Look on the tins as this will state if it's a complete food.
My only concern would be teeth cleaning, not that I think kibble is that good for cleaning teeth either. Does he like any chews? Tripe sticks, pizzles etc?
Willow doesn't chew her kibble she swallows it so it does nothing for her teeth she has lots of chews nyla bones ect She will get a dentastix chew later on if I gve her anything like that atm it upsets her stomach.
Yes he loves to chew. We have lots of Nylabones. Being a Yorkie he has very small mouth with tiny teeth so he gets a Vet dental cleaning every year.
I'd be careful with Nylabones, they can break teeth if the dog is a vigorous chewer, a youtuber I watch has a dog who had her back teeth removed because she broke her tooth on a nylabone. I'll link the video below. Not saying dont use them, just be careful. My boys have antlers to chew on, they are a tad expensive but clean teeth well and are gentle enough on the teeth for even puppies to chew on, obviously again supervision is key as the antler even though it doesnt splinter it is advisable to supervise while chewing on the antler.
