Hi. My new pup is 9 weeks old yesterday. This morning I noticed some wattery greenish puke just outside her cage. She seemed her normal self all morning and I fed her as normal. A few hours later she started heaving and puked up her food. Then an hour or so later same again but just clear Sylvia but what looked like hair in it. After that she was great again playing and running around like mad. Gave her her dinner and about an hour later same thing, puked her dinner up. She isn't getting any other treats as yet. Again we noticed hair in puke. Could the hair be making her sick? She is now lying sleeping with our 8 year old lab and ok.

Being so young, I would be tempted to pop her to the vet.

    Hi @Mrs Bell

I agree with @5labs. The puppy can get dehydrated very quickly. So a visit to the vet is a good idea.

Is the hair from the other dog or the puppy?

If the pup seems well in herself and is drinking, I wouldn't worry too much just yet - but if it continues for another day, then yes go to the vet. What are her stools like, are they normal?

We think the hair is from our other lab. Definitely not the pups. We also have a black sheepskin rug she was plucking the other day, which I promptly removed her from, but not sure if I was quick enough to stop any getting swallowed.

Yes she is running around like a mad 9 week old lab the rest of the time and is drinking plenty. Poops are consistent for the past week. We've kept her from pulling on the other dog and so far so good today. But vet is to ring me back, just for reassurance.
