Hello my name is Echo I will be 3 in December 2019 My human dad would like me to have 1 litter of puppies and I will have to make sure he is ok with the stud I get. My dad and mom both are great hunters as is my Human dad. I love the water and love to hunt dove, ducks, geese (there huge). I'm not registered as my parents were limited but my human dad dose not care he says he has seen dogs with papers more like note books that were not worth the ink it took to create the paper is was printed on. my human dad and I got lucky we found each other he took me out for my first dove season and I got 20 out of 27 dove that were shot that day no training. We will travel but would like to find someone close to Kansas. He will be looking at the picture ( we both think this one is good looking) Dose he hunt or earn his keep, and was he trained or did he come by it naturally, distance to travel and cost. He's not asking for much is he?

Hi and welcome to the forum No he isn't asking for much. It would be great if he would ask a little more Some of the most important questions he needs to ask are about health tests. Hopefully he's remembered to get yours done too! (Your puppies won't be doing much hunting with hip dysplasia). Here's some information about those tests, and about breeding from a female dog. Yup, the bitch need to be hip and elbow scored, eye tested and have several DNA tests run before breeding. Moreover, any reputable stud dog won't accept your bitch unless she is health-tested... In a world where there are thousands of dogs destroyed every week from shelters, simply because there are more puppies than homes, you need to have an ultra-good reason for breeding a litter and you need to do it ultra-well to justify doing it. You also need to ensure you can find homes for all the resulting puppies, which of course won't be registered and (unless you health test) also won't be health-tested. Buyers are pretty educated these days, with the internet, and you may well find yourself with a lot of 8 week old puppies you can't sell....
