Our 4 month old fox red has started barking at things around the house eg sometimes she'll bark at the hoover when it's not being used, other times she'll ignore it. (I have to get my partner to take her outside if I need to hoover). Today she even barked at the laundry basket, which she normally likes to have a quick chew on. Not sure if it's fear or play, but either way it's really annoying. She's also started barking to go out sometimes, which we don't respond to until she's quiet. Advice needed!!! We usually ignore the barking, but it's driving us mad.

Ah i feel your pain! Isla was the same and started barking at everything from about 5 months old.

We tried ignoring her, didn't work then we put her in her crate every time she barked, also didn't work,it drove us crazy.

We finally got a professional trainer to come and see us and Isla, she said it was all to do with anxiety. We knew she was a little anxious by some of her behaviours but didn't realize the extent of Isla's problems.

She has given us a set of instructions to follow to help Isla. It's early days but we are working hard to help Isla,i hate to think of her worried and stressed. Maybe that would help you and your pup. Good luck

Our neighbours dog barks all the time, the poor thing is locked in the garage where he sleeps for long periods of time.
He is left to bark sometimes for hours on end.
He sometimes sets Willow off as the garage is next to our livingroom.

Toby became very noisy around the same age. He used to bark if someone came downstairs even if he had just watched them go upstairs.
Random noises still set him off and usually frighten the life out of us. Often it will be someone on the street shutting a car door.He is also very vocal when people come to the door. Something I need to tackle when his treatment has finished.

You say she barks to go out. Isn’t that a good thing or do you have another signal?Toby swipes at the glass but will bark if he is desperate in the night.

Difficult without falling out with your neighbours but you could report it as a nuisance noise to the council. Poor dog you will probably be doing it a big favour.

It's awful isn't it? One of my neighbours bought a fox red very similar looking to mine about a year before we got Kyko & he is literally shoved in the garden all day every day & barks a lot the poor thing. The guy even said to me when he saw us out with Kyko when he was very young wish Toby was as well behaved as that, my answer was he would be if you spend some time & effort with him. Makes me so angry why get a dog if you're not prepared to even spend time with it.

Some people think it's OK to leave a dog away from the people that own it, some dogs live out doors or in kennels and think it's OK.
But the dogs are not happy. If they treated a human like that it's classed as tourcher, solitary confinement.
My neighbours are very selfish pepole they see nothing wrong in this.
The dog is fed watered and walked 3 times a day basically to do its business.
It's a cocker spaniel so a high energy dog.
It wakes up about 6:30 barks a bit stops then an hour later barks again and carries on until he is let out or taken out.
He was only about 12 weeks old when put into the garage to sleep.
Willow is so well behaved and walkes lovely on the lead they have to use a halti on him.
