I bought a lab mix off of Craigslist and I am curious if she is done growing. She was advertised as a Lab/Rottweiler mix so I expected her to be on the higher end of the Lab Standard if anything. I wouldn't trade her for the world and she is a great dog but I am just confused how she is so small. Right now she is 10 months old, is about 18in tall at the shoulders, and weighs about 18kg. I would be lying if I said I did not want her to get bigger but I will love her regardless. I am just curious if it is possible for her to grow more at this age.

I also forgot to mention that she has had a lot of problems with worms due to the dog next door. I am curious if that has caused a lot of stunted or slowed growth. Rottweilers can grow up to 2 or 3 years old but judging by her size she probably has very little Rott in her if any.

Hi Mikey, Welcome to the forum.

Most Labs finish growing at some point between their first and second birthday.
You can more information on the average Labrador's development here: https://www.thelabradorsite.com/labrador-puppy-growth-faq/

Hopefully it will give you an idea of what to expect from your Rottie mix :)

Ah she is beautiful and still looks very young. I would say more Doberman than Rottweiler. Enjoy.

Beautiful dog. Did you see either parent? Are you sure of her age? To me she looks young with some growing to do.
My lab x collie was 26kg (I think) at 10 months and is 29 kg now (peaked at 30kg when I thought he better go on a diet).

She looks young for sure, which means she probably will grow more but no one could say by how much. Mixing breeds of dog is not like mixing paint you do not get the predicted outcome.

    Hi. What a lovely dog!
From the ticking on the chest, in addition to Doberman and lab, I think some hound is in the mix. Does she ever howl, perhaps as a an exclamation point after barking? I have two lab hound mixes. Johnny is 83 lbs but taller and longer than the lab standard. Maggie is 8 mo and 65 lbs. She has shorter legs and a thicker body but likely will be as long as Johnny. Johnny grew between 1 and 2, maybe 8 lbs or so, and his proportions changed slightly too.

My first thought was hound too.
You'll have to get her DNA tested and let us know!

Omg she’s beautiful. I see Lab for sure . Maybe Rottie or Hound . Whatever she is she’s beautiful.
We have a Lab mix . He’s a little over a year old. He is 24 inches at the shoulder and weighs 50 pounds.

Thank you for all of the kind words everyone! sorry for the late reply. She was born on this guys farm and he did say that he had some sort of hunting dogs so I am also curious if that is part of her mix. I picked her up at his house so I never saw the parents but he said they were around 27-30kg.. My previous pictures were taken at 3 months, 5 months, and 7 months. Here are some from today she had definitely filled out a lot and gotten very stocky. Is it possible her height was stunted because of the worms she had?
