My puppy is 10 weeks old. I brought her home at 7.5 weeks and found out she has a bladder infection with stones. The stones are finally gone but she still has the infection after 2 rounds of meds.
Vet will now stick a needle in her bladder to get a culture to send out to find out what kind of bacteria is causing this.
Has anyone else dealt with this? I feel so defeated and sad that if this is the cause of an underlying huge issue, my heart is going to be broken.

Not quite the same, but my 13 week old has just finished second round of antibiotics for urine infection and the symptom that made us take her to the vet in the first place within a few days of bringing her home is still the same! She has stringy yellow mucus discharge after/ with urinating not every time but every day.
How did the stones get diagnosed?

You might want to add Cranimals Organic Cranberry powder to your dog's meals, as this really helps prevent the UTIs which many female puppies are predisposed to and will support whatever treatment the vet uses and help prevent recurrence. Search for it on Amazon...

I feel your pain. My yellow lab started suffering constant UTIs when she turned 1 year old. She had a surgery to remove extra skin that the vet thought was the cause of the problem. It didn't help. After going to a specialist, they treated her to remove the crystals and started a prescription food. Royal Canine Urinary So. It has been one year since she has had a UTU.......knock on wood. She is going to be 3 next month. I would highly recommend the food before doing the surgery.
