I have just been back to the vets with Riley for her booster jabs and she went even moor frantic than last time. The vet did manage to give Riley her jab after a very near miss on herself. The vet has advised us to start making appointments with them so she can start doing some desensitising training with her. She has advised me to bring a bag of her very favourite treats that she can only have at the vets from now on. When we came out of the vets Riley calmed down in a matter of seconds whereas it took me about 10 minutes to stop sweating and shaking. I think I might need the desensitising as well.
Is there someone else who can take her to the vets for you? If you are anxious, it really won't help.
