    I guys just a little update :)
I’m 2 weeks In with my gorgeous puppy dog pies (little boy) and it’s been the most amazing 2 weeks I could’ve hoped for!
Don’t get me wrong it’s also been an absolute nightmare lack of sleep, no kind of house work was done for the first week, chewing anything he can get his little teeth on and my goodness that first night howling / screaming he did was enough to make my ears ring!

This is our first puppy and we did our research and continue to do our research now we have him and it’s helped us an awful lot!
But we also enjoy every second of our boy! He’s had his first bath, learnt sit, stay, lay down, and In your crate :) he now comes up for cuddles on the sofa he absolutely loves being close to us up there!

He's growing so big every single day! He’s adapted so well to coming to work with me everyday and has been so good for my clients! Everyone who meets him loves him!

Plastic bottle and cardboard boxes have been a life saver with biting / chewing!

We have learnt if he is overtired or too excited he will bite more but we are learning to cope! Making sure no new visitors after 7.30pm, no one to wake him from a sleep! And try to keep the fuss by new people minimum and it works a treat :)

We have had no accidents In the crate at night and I’m super proud of him for that!

His first visit to the vets was fantastic he loved his nice treats the vet gave him
And didn’t even flinch with his first jabs..
he has his next jabs on Wednesday then only a week to wait until he can go out for his first walk :)

I know we still have our work cut out and it’s gonna be crazy over the coming weeks but I also wanted to say to any new pup parents reading this...
The first few days are for sure the hardest! Tiredness kicks in and nothing makes sense you feel as if a monster has come into your home to bite you, scream and chew up anything nice you own haha!
But after those days you’ll absolutely fall in love with your pup and their little personality that shows more everyday!

We’ve had our boy 2 weeks and I honestly now couldn’t imagine life without him :)
I love him more than he will ever know and he’s completed our family for now :) (no babies for us just yet)

    Hope everyone is well :)
    Love teide and pies
I’ve added some photos of my little puppy dog! :)

    Hi Teide,

You guys are gorgeous, I've enjoyed following your first two weeks together!

I've removed the first photo from your post, because it very clearly showed your mobile number on Pies' collar. You're welcome to post it again with your number blurred out though - he's a very handsome boy :)

    Best wishes,

    Sarah

    Gorgeous puppy!
Do you leave his collar on in the house and in his crate?

    Hi Teide,
I would be taking the collar off when you are not around and when in the crate at night. There is so many horror stories of injuries and worse :( with dogs getting their collars stuck or caught.

Hi yeah we are aware luckily his crate the little squares are too big for his tag to get caught in and he isn’t unattended around the house :) but there isn’t anything he get get caught on downstairs and he isn’t allowed upstairs as it’s carpeted and bad for his joints climbing stairs so we don’t allow it :)
We have puppy proofed the house completely downstairs

Oh gosh I didn’t know this ! We take poppys collar off inside, just because I feel like she’s inside so it’s probably more comfy to not have it on! but oh gosh I’m glad we do take it off now ..

Luna never has her collar on in the house for this reason. Puppies are jumpy and curious so there is a lot of risk getting it caught.

Read that a puppy hung itself as its collar got caught on the kitchen cupboard handles :(

    There are a few reasons
I have multiple sclerosis and I can’t bend down constantly to put his collar on and off.
At night time he is taken out on the lead to go to the toilet.
And all day he comes to work with me and is required to wear his collar he is in a public place and if he were to escape he needs to have his collar on it’s a requirement..

Hi I do understand your concerns but there are reasons I have stated as to why pies wears his collar all the time but thank you for your replies :)

    Hi Teide

Pies is just adorable. What a cutie! I remember when Lola looked that small, we’ve only had her 14 weeks and she has just sprouted lol I swear they grow everyday!

Sounds like you are getting on really well with everything.
We were same, did all research before but when puppy was actually home with us first few days were absolutely crazy  but as days turned into weeks things got so much easier.

I just love cuddles with Lola. One of my favourite parts of the day.

Would recommend training classes as they were great for Lola socialising and learning new behaviours :)

Oh cuddles are my favourite he comes up on the sofas for big cuddles!
We are booked in for puppy classes in November so excited to start them! Both me and my partner will be able to go as well so nice to have us there as a family so we can both learn!

Did you both enjoy classes :)? X
