Hi all I have been reading lots of dog training articles and books. I have been very impressed with Jane Ardern's Mission Control: How to Train the High-Drive Dog, First Stone Publishing, UK, 2020. Ardern devotes a lot of attention to building steadiness and frustration tolerance. She takes emotions seriously, using Panksepp's paradigm. So, it is not just a book on behaviourism. Many new exercises, at least to me, are explained, such as mousey mousey.
Actually Mission Control is essential reading for trainers and handlers in all sporting disciplines, and for those who simply want to get the best from their companion dogs. I have read other interesting articles (translated by https://thewordpoint.com/services/translation-service/medicine ) on breeding and training, but this book is definitely to place to start if you want to have a companion dog.
