I’m looking to buy a Labrador pup, does anyone have a quiet one? Or are they all crazy, high energy little biters?

    Not a lab.
All pups bite. All pups zoom. Lab's probably more.

It's a teething and breed thing.

Most bite when they are teething especially but my most recent lab was a lot worse than the previous one. I don’t remember having any issues with my youngish children first time round but this one left four adults in the house looking like we had been attacked by a cat on a daily basis.

All pups bite when young, its teething, not a malicious bite. It settles about 16 weeks when their teeth fall out. I have had 3 breeds, Newfies, a Malmute and a now a lab. All the same, its a normal developmental stage.

I have a 16week old at the moment and the chewing is really intense right now but you learn the key chewing moments of the day as they tend to follow a pattern. I provide a lot of things he can chew in his crate for those moments and change them round. He has never bitten me so my hands are doing ok so far. He has however bitten my ex- husband as he winds him up - so possible silver lining ;)
