Hi and welcome to the forum :)
Harley used to jump on everyone when she was that age. I asked everyone to turn their body away from her and keep turning until she sits down. I done the same myself. After a few days of this it worked :) Harley rarely jumps on anyone now :)
Would love to see a photo of Poppy ;)

Hi Anth, welcome to the forum.
Another technique for this is insisting all 4 paws are on the floor before giving attention to your dog.
Turning your back is one way of saying "no - I'm not playing".
Others have found a clicker quite good to train this too, reinforcing the good behaviours with a click & treat.

My dogs haven't been too bad at jumping up but they get very excited when people come and occasionally jump up.

I ask people to ignore them. Turning their back is the best way. No eye contact is very important and although the natural reaction is to push a jumping dog down its better to keep turning away. Pushing the dog down is playing the game, interacting which a dog can see as a reward and permission to keep playing the jumping up game. ::)

Good luck getting people to ignore her though. It's amazing how many people don't understand what the word ignore means when it comes to a bouncy dog. My dogs get very excited when my auntie comes. I've told her to ignore them but she will keep talking to them in a high pitched excited voice !!!. I've given up and thankfully they are calming down naturally with her now. Yesterday they actually went to sleep while she was here. ;D
