Hubby and I took Harley to the south gloucestershire show today - there was live music, loads of food vans, events in the main arena, motorbikes, cars, stalls (including a few selling dog treats ), and thousands of people. For the first 2 mins she pulled horrendously, I refused to move forward until she loosened the lead, which didn't take long we walked around on lead for about 1 hour 45 mins, stopping at different stalls, have a drink and treat break and watching the dog agility display. Harley had one or two minor lunges, but apart from that, walked brilliantly with a loose lead. I was so impressed with her being up fazed by it all. Hubby told me he was impressed how well I had trained her and she is definitely my dog
Re: So impressed I was impressed with my dog also We had to give a gundog demonstration at a country fair and I had no idea how my dog would cope with crowds round the ring. He coped ;D Beforehand we came across children, wheelchairs, balloons, Llamas, ducks, chickens, donkeys, many other dogs and he didn't pull once on the lead, it was a pleasure to be out with him. Now if I had taken my 8 year old dog it would have been a different story!! Sorry to jump into your thread Naya and I am impressed with your Harley ;D
Re: So impressed Well done everyone! ;D These shows are a test aren't they! Riley was pretty good at the Dunster show last week, I was pleased too
Re: So impressed Hats off to dogs and owners alike. I, on the other hand, was too chicken to take Simba on our outing to the lake yesterday. Just didn't see that ending well :
Re: So impressed Thank you all it is a huge success for us as she has always been a 'puller'. Not a prob Stacia - I love reading what everyone has done too
Re: So impressed Well done! I know Harley's pulling has been a bit of a challenge..wish could've gone, sounds like it was a great day out
